The increasing progress in the academic achievements and development of the country in Humanities and Social Sciences after the Revolution gives rise to the expectation that a considerable change be made at the human side of the development. However, the Supreme Leader’s emphasis on the necessity to reform Humanities and Social Sciences based on an Islamic-Iranian approach, and the policymakers and researchers’ concerns which are consistent with higher order documents of the country reveal that the measures taken so far are not sufficient regarding the developmental needs and goals of Islamic Republic of Iran. Therefore, carrying out basic and applied research in Management Studies and Economics is one of the basic needs of the country.

Having specified the research priorities in INSF in line with the country’s needs and higher order documents, Management Studies and Economics group evaluates scientists’ research proposals on a variety of topics in this field. The members of this group are highly distinguished researchers and university faculties in field such as Theoretical Economics, Business Management, Financial Management, Governmental Management, Industrial Management, and Accounting Sciences.


INSF Research Priorities in Economics

Economic Macro Policies

-Designing and evaluating appropriate financial policies

-Strategies for modifying Iran’s tax system and upholding fiscal and tax justice

-Economic laws and their modification in Economics

-Macro planning, the budget, and the appropriate use by the government

-Foreign exchange policies and the gold and currency market

-Foreign investment policies and its effects on the country’s economy

-Policies for efficiency and employment improvement and the transfer of technology

-Macro policies about the business atmosphere and the strategies for its improvement

-Subsidy reform plan and other economic modifications

-Improvement of organizational and administrative systems focusing on moral values, conscientiousness, and responsiveness
